Irene was born in a village close to Barcelona. Armed with a background in graphic design and years of experience in the fashion industry, she embarked on a new journey and decided to break free from corporate confines and pursue her true passion. Quitting the 9-to-5 grind, Irene ventured to Sri Lanka, where she discovered a new chapter in her creative life, embracing the 70s aesthetic blended with tropical vibes, ultimately defining her artistic signature.

WHERE CAN YOU USUALLY BE FOUND AT 2AM?

Sleeping or dancing.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR AESTHETIC?

My aesthetic is tropical vintage.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE THROUGH YOUR WORK?

Ultimately Happiness and freedom. I like to mix the uniqueness of vintage style, with good vibes, which is representative in my pieces on 2AM.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE CREATIVE BLOCKS OR MOMENTS WHEN INSPIRATION DOESN’T SEEM TO COME?

I turn off the computer and engage in activities that allow me to disconnect from overthinking, such as surfing, exploring the forest, or revisiting the works of my favourite artists.

WHAT’S THE MOST BIZARRE PIECE OF ART OR DESIGN YOU’VE EVER CREATED, AND WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?

Not bizarre, but I'd say the most fun I had was creating a brand logo that began as a joke in a tuktuk in Sri Lanka at 3 am, while we were desperately looking for food.

WHAT’S YOUR GO TO SONG OR GENRE TO WORK TO?

I have an appreciation for various music genres, but recently, I've developed a strong love for creating while listening to high-frequency music.

WHERE DOES YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF INSPIRATION COME FROM?

I love many kind of styles, but lately I love drawing with high frequency music.

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT NEVER FAILS TO MAKE YOU HAPPY OR BRINGS A SMILE TO YOUR FACE?

Simple, a quick jump into the ocean.

WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST DREAM?

To use my design profits to assist in rescuing abandoned children who find themselves in dire circumstances. It's my way of making a positive impact on their lives.

WHAT’S ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’D GIVE TO ASPIRING ARTISTS?

Be yourself, and explore as much as possible to get to know who you are.
